Battlebus Tour: Day 26

Day 26 Oxford;
The Battlebus was in Oxford today and again we were able discuss the need for an English Parliament with a wide range of people. The Campaign would like to highlight that when the media supports objective debate and informs the public about serious issues then the public responds in a positive manner and is very willing to discuss [...]

Battlebus Tour: Day 25

Day 25 Reading & Windsor;
Another day of successful campaigning and its interesting to see the range of people who are aware of the injustices occurring within the UK at this present time. The public in Reading on numerous occasions thanked us for giving them the opportunity to express their anger at the injustices they face and they mentioned the [...]

Battlebus Tour: Day 24

Day 24 Maidstone & Kent;
A successful day visiting constituency offices and we were able to see how weak the defence of English votes on English laws truly is. It gives the campaign hope that the public will start to demand sensible solutions to the inequalities that are happening within the United Kingdom . We know that [...]

Battlebus Tour: Day 23

Day 23 Brighton;
We put the banners up on Brighton pier only to have them quickly removed (it appears another English icon is privately owned) and all we wanted to show was that Brighton pier is part of England. Tut Tut!!
We have continually experienced overwhelming support from the public but this has also been coupled with establishment denial that the [...]

Battlebus Tour: Day 22

Day 22 Portsmouth/ Winchester;
Good response from MP’s offices and British Legion today! People as always very supportive. A very busy place and an equally loud voice all shouting for an English Parliament.
A quick trip to Winchester late in the afternoon proved very fruitful too. After we had placed the campaigns banner under King Alfred’s statue hoards of locals came up to enquire [...]

Battlebus Tour: Day 20

Day 20 Bournemouth,
We started the day at Corfe Castle, well worth a visit…….. stunning! English history at it’s best. How disrespectful of the main parties in Britain breaking up England into regional area’s without consulting the people.
How silly of them to implement and force the people of England that their country no longer exists. Corfe Castle is one example that [...]

Battlebus Tour: Day 19

Day 19 Plymouth;
Fantastic day and that’s no over statement. Hundreds of people visited the battle bus with many stating a desire to join the campaign. Over and over again the people of Plymouth kept saying the other nations within the UK should not be involved in issues relating to England only.
Please look at the BBC YouTube clip because [...]

Battlebus Tour: Day 18

Day 18 Lands End; (From Devon)
We decided on a new approach, reverse psychology and played through the Battle Bus speakers the song THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM. Yet it is far from impossible getting the people of England supporting us.
People still continue to come up and thank Campaign for an English Parliament. Driving into Cornwall you can see that regionalization is [...]

Battlebus Tour: Day 17

Day 17 Exeter;
Started day with visits to main Party offices. All were invited to join the campaign. The staff in the Labour offices seemed to at times be questioning devolution itself!
There continues to be massive support on the streets old and young alike engaged in objective debate. Many stated that the present system is unfair. Hospital parking charges being one [...]
