Gordon Brown’s disastrous Britishness roadshow has proven to be a complete farce.

The British politician with the most to gain from Britishness is the Scottish Prime Minister who is unaccountable to the English people who are the victims of most of his legislation.  He has so far spent £1m of English money sending a Britishness roadshow around the UK to compile a “statement of values” for the Bill of Rights and Responsibilities that the British Justice Minister, Jack Straw, wants to replace the English Bill of Rights with.

But the general public is so disinterested in Gordon Brown’s Britishness farce that only 10 members of the public have turned up to them, despite being offered £85 of taxpayers money in “expenses” to attend.  Most attendees are civil servants and councillors and even ministers are failing to turn up.

But Britishness Brown isn’t about to give up on this colossal waste of English taxpayers money just yet – one of his British Justice Ministers, Michael Wills, said that despite nobody having the slightest interest in Britishness, it is “an important issue”.

The only important thing about this Britishness farce is the amount of money being wasted on it.
