Absolutely right Steve, No point at all, looks like were left with the English Democrats?

The other option is to vote tactically, in the hope of at least unseating the present shower, the object being, to force the Scots to vote for independence, and who has the best chance of pulling that off, think about it!

Have you noticed just how often Party Leaders just happen to be Scottish? (Or at least, not English).

The most recent examples, in reverse chronological order:

LABOUR
Gordon Brown (Scottish)
Tony Blair (Scottish)
John Smith (Scottish)
Neil Kinnock (Welsh)

LIBERAL DEMOCRAT
Nick Clegg (Dutch mother, half-Russian father, Spanish wife, sees himself as “European”, which is fair enough, but…)
Menzies Campbell (Scottish)
Charles Kennedy (Scottish)
Paddy Ashdown (Irish)
David Steel/Roy Jenkins (Scottish/Welsh)

CONSERVATIVE
David Cameron (quote: “There’s plenty of Scottish blood in these veins”, actually half-Scottish, but those are his sympathies)
Michael Howard (Welsh)
Ian Duncan-Smith (Scottish)
William Hague (English, but regularly vilified for having an unsuitable Yorkshire, i.e. English accent)

And of course the SNP, Plaid Cymru, Respect, DUP, UUP, SDLP and so on also don’t have English leaders.

You wouldn’t think we were 84% of the population would you?

Because we never seem to be allowed the top jobs….

I always said that God was an Englishman and now I’ve been proved right.
On a more serious note it shows the contempt with which we the English are treated by the Westminster Village.
London members should now bombard the guy with letters of complaint and demand an apology!
