There will be an English parliament and executive again. No matter who or what stands in the way. They don't even know that their hatred is our motivation. I once had a welshman tell me "it's good to have an enemy" meaning, it's good that we have you English to hate. It keeps us motivated. Well, despite my upbringing I now say, vice versa mate, vice versa! The good thing to come out of all this anti-Englishness is we have a much more coherant English tribe.

...and they included the Welsh in the question regarding an English Parliament? What the hell has it to do with them?!

Despite this slight of hand, only 15% oppose an English Parliament! Double wow!!

Wow, only 15% oppose an English Parliament!

Just think what the result would be with a glitzy, multi-million pound "Yes" marketing campaign like the Scots, the Welsh and the north east of England had!

In the words of Edward Stirling over the Great Reform bill of 1832

“the people everywhere should come forward and thunder for reform.”

Whilst I fully understand the question, I also had to read it carefully and then re-read it in case it was a trick question, with a double meaning.

Nevertheless, an English Parliament is more popular than ANY of the main Parties and more popular than the whole lot of them put together.

As for EVoL, most people have never had the problems of this solution explained to them, so a tick for stopping the neighbours riding the English gravy train, is a tick for an EP.

Still laughing at Ian Gibson, MP for Norwich. Remember he said he wished he could go back to Scotland now it had a wonderful national Parliament? We now know the only thing stopping him was the financial rewards he gets from the British Parliament. I do hope his constituents grant his wish and send him home tae think agean. [especially after called them all inbreds!]
