The following is in the Flletwood Today newspaper following yesterday’s press release on the suggestion that the Scottish Parliament should be given control of the English portions of the River Esk in addition to the English portions of the River Tweed and its tributaries.
Row over fishing demand
The chair of the Campaign for an English Parliament has slammed a demand over fishing regulation in Cumbria.
The Scots want the control of fishing in the English section of the River Esk to be taken from the Environment Agency and given to the Scottish Parliament.
Mrs Scilla Cullen said: “To make this concession would be an attack upon England’s territorial integrity.”
