BBC News: Couple in Court over Olympics Tax

What the BBC said …

The couple said all British citizens should contribute, not just Londoners

What the couple said …

If everyone in England pays it then I will, but the fact that it is just Londoners paying it seems very unfair

Britain and England are not interchangable terms for the same thing.  The BBC were notified at lunchtime today but the article remains unchanged …

The BBC thinks it is a Political force, deciding what we should listen to, the one eyed potatoe head Evan Davis is a fine example, when his comments assisting the chancellor Alastair Darling ! to get his message over ! HAS CAUSED UPROAR WITHIN IN THE TORY PARTY is not what the BBC are for ! there suppose to be impartial ! some hopes from the commy lefty facsists who run the BBC, THE TORIES NEED TO SCRAP THE LICENCE FEE ! SACK THE LOT ! BUNCH OF TOSSERS !

After submitting two corrections and then an official complaint, the following has been received:

    Stuart,

As I have replied to earlier correspondents on this subject, the Glenisters used the word “England” in a direct quote. However, in indirect comments, both in this and a previous report, they spoke of Britain. We recognise that the terms are not interchangeable but understand that when talking many people do refer to England when they mean Britain and it is not for us to alter their words.

Further to that, we have spoken again to the Glenisters this morning and they confirm that they do indeed mean the whole of the country and not just England.

    Kind regards,

    Ian Jolly

There you have it – in “indirect comments” they said Britain and lots of people say England when they mean Britain so that makes it ok to change their words because it wouldn’t be right for them to … change … their … words … confused? I am.

Following on from my previous basic comments about the tossers ! The BBC is also a sports denier ! denying the English of any Cricket, this (wet) summer , to add insult to injury, the BBC also denies us coverage of our England football team, games not even the highlights !( The discrimination continues )takes the money from the Majority Licence holders to feed the minorities with there own stations & language groups, BUT GIVES NOTHING ! to us English not even our own T.V.& radio station. LIKE WHATS BEEN SAID BEFORE STOP THE FEE ! HEADS MUST ROLL AT THE BBC !
