Hypocrisy of MPs’ desire to drop oath
WESTMINSTER MPs are campaigning to drop the oath to the Queen claiming a new-found allegiance and duty to the people who elect them.
It is English-elected Labour and Lib Dem MPs who are driving this campaign with a degree of hypocrisy which may well astound England’s voters.
Following 1999 devolution, England, particularly middle and southern England, has been subjugated by mass immigration, crippling taxes, massive planned housing, pitiful public funding and treacherous quangos by its own UK MPs and their self-indulgent UK parties – so their belated claim to represent our electors must be some kind of joke.
England, unlike Celtic countries, has neither self-governance nor national political parties, so we alone are at the full mercy of these false UK parties.
Annually, since 1999, English-elected UK Labour and Lib Dem MPs have voted massive Barnett devolution settlements to the devolved countries with 2008-09 public funding (per head) being Northern Ireland £9,787, Scotland £9,179, Wales £8,577 with England an average £7,535 and much lower in middle and southern England.
Such benevolence underpins their parties’ dependence on Celtic votes while deceiving ‘the people who vote for them’.
England inhabitants cannot bank on UK Tory allegiance either since, in a recent Glasgow speech, David Cameron said ‘I do not want to be Prime Minister of England – I want to be Prime Minister of the UK, including Scotland’, so at a stroke he discounts England’s 52 million in the interest of the UK, showing little allegiance to England’s voters.
It seems that Mr Cameron is courting the Scottish nationalists so we who live in England can rest assured that any future ‘agreements’ will, using our taxes, be in the interests of the UK Tory Party and Scotland.
No doubt Alex Salmond would cherish being Prime Minister of Scotland’s five million people (he is in all but name) so what England needs is three Alex Salmonds, each a leader of new English parties – English Labour, English Tories and English Lib Dems.R A Hopkins Leckhampton Cheltenham

The Debates in the house are mostly Pathetic, filled with spin, lies, stupid banter, & not tackling, issues properly, which ought to be ironed out quickly, there is no passion or commitment by this shower, who represent all Parties (Labour being only just the worst ) the longer they get away with it,….. will continue ! unless a stand is made .
