David Cameron, in the Yorkshire Post: “This is the greatest country in the world, being born English is winning the first prize in the lottery of life.”

Come the next UK general election I trust that Mr Cameron will be waxing lyrical about his pride in his Scottish ancestry, to the readers of the Press & Journal that is.
You can fool some of the people some of the time, but in the age of the internet…..
The original Rhodes quotation is: “Remember that you are an Englishman, and have consequently won first prize in the lottery of life.” Kipling appears to have said something similar too.
I don’t know if any of you guys spotted it, but the CEP got a bit of a profile in the Sunday Post yesterday:
‘Growing problem of how English see Scots’

April 21st, 2008 at 12:29 pmNote David Cameron’s comments in his response to the question about England:
“I want to be Prime Minister of all the United Kingdom, not embittered England that says let’s split ourselves off from our partners with whom we’ve achieved so much over the years.”
If thats the case why doesn’t he stop faffing around and do something about the English Question? Then England wouldn’t be so embittered!
